Terrence D. Jones, President and CEO of Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts since 1996, is retiring at the end of 2012.

To honor Terre for his superior leadership of Wolf Trap Foundation, as well as the involvement and support of his wife Polly, the Wolf Trap Foundation Board of Directors has established the Terre and Polly Jones Endowed Fund for Artistic Initiatives in his honor, and we invite you to honor Terre through a contribution to this endowed fund.

Making the creation of new works a centerpiece of Wolf Trap’s artistic mission is one of the exceptional hallmarks of Terre’s tenure at Wolf Trap, with more than 70 new works in diverse genres commissioned by Wolf Trap during his seventeen years of service. Through these new works, Wolf Trap is able to introduce audiences to the best creative minds of our time while contributing substantive work to the American performing arts repertoire.

The Terre and Polly Jones Endowed Fund for Artistic Initiatives will provide an enduring source of support for Wolf Trap Foundation’s commission of new works in the performing arts and the presentation of these newly-commissioned works. The fund will support commissions in various artistic disciplines, including dance, opera, classical music, jazz, and works for children.
