Wolf Trap’s 2024 summer season includes legendary artists from a wide variety of genres—and some may have flown under your radar! We asked Wolf Trap Foundation staff to share some of their personal highlights for the summer season. Perhaps you share some of these favorites, or perhaps this is your opportunity to discover a new favorite artist at the Filene Center or Children’s Theatre-in-the-Woods!

Global Artists on the Filene Center stage!

Shreya Ghoshal, Julieta Venegas, and Lauren Daigle.

We are delighted to welcome Indian pop star Shreya Ghoshal this summer for her Wolf Trap debut! Ghoshal grew up in West Bengal, India, and began taking classical voice lessons at six years old. Widely recognized for her virtuosic range and singing ability, she won the Indian television reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa at age 16 and began an impressive career in Bollywood films. With a repertoire of over 3,000 songs in 300 films, her performance at Wolf Trap will be a fantastic opportunity to hear one of the most acclaimed voices of South Asia live in concert.

Another exciting talent coming to Wolf Trap this summer is the unique voice of Julieta Venegas. Venegas began her career in Tijuana, Mexico, and rose to prominence as a leading voice in Mexican pop-rock. Her songs, including “Eres Para Mí” and “Me Voy” found success in the U.S., and Venegas subsequently won Best Latin Pop Album at the 2007 Grammys for Limón y Sal. Her most recent album, Tu Historia, gave Venegas her eighth Latin Grammy Award. Her Wolf Trap performance is one you won’t want to miss!

Hot on the heels of her 2023 self-titled album, Lauren Daigle performs at Wolf Trap this summer as a part of her Kaleidoscope Tour. Seamlessly blending contemporary Christian music with pop, Daigle exudes her uplifting spirit and soulful sound in every performance. Her first album How Can It Be debuted on the top of the Billboard Christian Albums Chart. Daigle’s 2018 single “You Say” stayed a record 132 weeks at the top of the Hot Christian Songs chart, and the accompanying album Look Up Child sold over 200,000 copies in the United States. She continues to inspire audiences with her optimistic message and powerful voice.

Celebrate nature, music, and Pride at the Out & About  Festival!

Wolf Trap’s Out & About Festival will be a chance to see many talented artists in one day! Okan is an Afro-Cuban jazz duo, whose incredible chemistry translates their love for music and each other as spouses. Quinn Christopherson blends his unique experiences as a native Alaskan (Ahtna Athabascan and Iñupiaq) and transgender man in his music. Be Steadwell is a Queer pop artist from Washington, DC, who uses loop pedals on stage to create a multilayered lo-fi sound with lyrical themes that uplift the Black and Queer communities.
