Wolf Trap Opera Dress Rehearsals
The emerging artists in residency with Wolf Trap Opera each summer bring sparkling vocalism and thrilling theatricality to Wolf Trap’s stages. Unique among American opera companies, Wolf Trap Opera (WTO) designs its entire summer season around the young professionals selected through a rigorous, nationwide audition process.
Wolf Trap members have many opportunities to experience their outstanding talent in expertly produced performances each year. Members at the Soloist level and above also gain exclusive access to special opera events and performances. Below are just a few of the Opera-focused events offered to members.
Studio Spotlight
Soloists and above are invited.
Registration opens mid-April.
Event takes place during the summer season.
In addition to performing smaller roles in the mainstage operas, WTO Studio Artists, many of whom are still in enrolled in university or a conservatory voice program, take center stage for the Studio Spotlight performance. Members at the Soloist level and above receive two complimentary tickets to this event. Join us for an evening of opera scenes featuring the up-and-coming talent of the Studio Artists program!
Post-Performance Reception
Directors and above are invited.
Registration opens mid-April.
Event takes place during the summer season.
Members at the Director level and above are invited to a post-performance reception to meet the artists. This reception is a great way to meet and get to know the WTO artists, while relaxing and enjoying light refreshments in the company of fellow opera lovers.
Opera Dress Rehearsals
Directors and above are invited.

Members at the Director level and above are invited to preview mainstage operas at The Barns at an invitation-only dress rehearsal. This exclusive sneak peek allows our members to see how the magic happens while experiencing opera at The Barns with the intimacy of a small, invited audience.
