Membership questions

When does my membership expire?

Wolf Trap Membership follows the calendar year, with memberships valid through December 31 of the membership year.

If you join or renew in August-December, your membership is valid through December 31 of the following year.

How do I upgrade my membership?

To upgrade your membership, pay the difference in value between your current membership level and your desired level of membership. You may log in to your Member Portal to upgrade your membership online or call our offices for assistance at 703.255.1927.

Account questions

How do I create a Secure Member Portal account?

Click "Member Portal" at the top of this page to go to the login screen. Create your My Wolf Trap account by clicking “New user registration”.

Choose your own username with any combination of letters, numbers, and special characters. You may choose any username that is not already in use.

Our separate ticketing portal at wolftrap.org/mytickets requires your email address to login. You may wish to make both sets of credentials for the two separate sites match.

Is my username my email address?

Your username can be any alpha-numeric value you select. You may choose to make it your email address, but that is not a requirement.

I joined, but my account still says I am not a member. When does my membership take effect?

Memberships take 1-2 business days to process. During presale times, our team prioritizes memberships to provide access according to level.

Login and Password questions

Where do I log into my Member Portal?

Click “Member Portal” at the top of this page to go to the login screen. Enter your username and Password and click the “Login” button to log in to My Wolf Trap.

I'm having trouble logging in. What should I do?

Here are a few tips:

  • Make sure you’re using your correct username. If you cannot remember your username, please contact the Development Office at 703.255.1927 or give@wolftrap.org, and our staff will be able to help.
  • Type your password directly into the password field, rather than cutting and pasting in the data. Due to our security settings, cutting and pasting may cause the password to be entered incorrectly.
  • If you are on a laptop, try to reboot your signal by turning your computer on airplane mode for 10 seconds and then turning airplane mode off.
  • If you are on a phone and Wifi, try turning Wifi off and using the phone signal.
  • If you are on a phone and not on Wifi, connect to Wifi and try again.
Can I remain logged in?

Check the “Remain logged in” checkbox and do not log out after your visit, and then you will be automatically logged in the next time you use the same device and browser to visit your Member Portal.

For your security, do not check the “Remain logged in” checkbox if you are on a public or shared device.

How does the “Remain logged in” checkbox work?

The website uses cookies to remember your login details the next time you use the same device and the same browser to visit your Member Portal.

The “Remain logged in” checkbox only works if you do not log out of your Member Portal. If you click the “Logout” link, then you will not remain logged in.

Having trouble? Here are some steps you can take:

  • To remain logged in, check the “Remain logged in” checkbox, and do not click the “Logout” link before you close your browser.
    • When you visit My Wolf Trap on a public or shared device do not check the “Remain logged in” checkbox and always click “Logout” at the end of your visit.
  • Make sure you are using the same device (desktop, tablet, phone, etc.) and the same browser (chrome, firefox, etc.) the next time you log in.
  • Confirm that cookies are enabled, your pop-up blocker is disabled, and delete history is disabled on your browser.
What are the password requirements for my account?

Passwords for My Wolf Trap have the following requirements:

  • Minimum length of 12 characters.
  • Must contain the following:
    • Uppercase letters
    • Lowercase letters
    • Numbers
    • At least one special character
  • Passwords cannot include your name, your username, or our organization name
  • Passwords cannot match any of the last six passwords used on our site

My Wolf Trap passwords must be reset every 365 days.

When does my password expire?

My Wolf Trap passwords must be reset every 365 days. If your password has expired, you will receive the following error message:

  • Your password has expired and must be changed.

Follow these steps to reset your password:

  • Click the link as prompted to go to the admin login page hosted by Blackbaud, our website provider.
  • Enter your current password, and you will be taken to a password reset screen.
  • Create a new password that follows the My Wolf Trap password requirements.
I forgot my password. What should I do?

If you have forgotten your password, follow these steps:

  • Visit the Member Portal login page and click "Forgotten Username or Password".
  • On the next screen, enter the email address associated with your account and click Submit.
  • You will receive an email from give@wolftrap.org with the subject line "Forgotten Password/Username request".
  • Click the link in the email, and you will be prompted to create a new password that follows the My Wolf Trap password requirements.

To ensure the privacy of our members, Wolf Trap staff do not have access to your password information.

Payment questions

What is the tax-deductible portion of my membership gift?

Gifts to Wolf Trap Foundation are tax-deductible, less the value of tangible goods and services.

To see the value of the goods and services at your membership level, view the Member Benefits lists or log in to your Member Portal and view your benefits.

Benefits with an asterisk have a tangible value. You may opt to waive these benefits if you wish to take the full tax benefit of your contribution.

I’m a monthly giver. How do I update my credit card information?

Thank you for your sustaining gift! Please call our offices at 703.255.1927 to update your credit card information. It is currently not possible to do so online.

May I pay for my membership using stock or a Donor Advised Fund?

We welcome contributions via stock or Donor Advised Fund. Please note that gifts made via Donor Advised Fund may not receive benefits with a tangible value. To see which benefits have a tangible value, please view the Member Benefits lists or log in to your Member Portal and view your benefits.
